Hertz Taps the Corvette to Celebrate its 100th Anniversary

For its 100th anniversary, Hertz has commissioned 100 special edition Corvette Z06s from Chevrolet. Easily identified by its yellow with black stripes paint scheme, the Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition Corvette is a nicely specced Z06 with custom interior badging and a plaque displaying the build number of the vehicle.

Each car features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, and mated to an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The black 19 in. front and 20 in. rear alloy wheels frame yellow brake calipers, and this Hertz corporate color scheme is carried over to the interior where the black leather interior is accentuated by yellow stitching, including on the Competition Sport seats. And, like just about every vehicle today, the infotainment system is of equal, if not greater, importance, and features a 10-speaker Bose audio unit, eight-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Access to the cars is limited, as are the cities which will get them. They can be reserved online through the Hertz website, and are available at airports in the following U.S. cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco and Tampa. — CAS
